Faculty seminar 16.01.2018.

16.01.2018., 9:15 am., room 1.03.
“From pain pharmacology to molecular biology of the tumors”.
PhD Natalia Małek, Department of Cell Pathology.

During the lecture previous work on therapeutic application of the interaction between the endocannabinoid and endovanilloid systems in chronic pain control and current work on the role of ACTBL2 – putative 7th actin isoform – in the migration and invasion of human melanoma cells will be presented.

Mechanism of analgesic action of AA-5-HT and OMDM-198 compounds, inhibitors of the FAAH enzyme - increasing the level of endogenous anandamide while blocking the anandamide binding site on the TRPV1 receptor, blocking the same pronociceptive conductivity and directing its action towards analgesic activation of cannabinoid receptors.
