Foreign Students may take the exam certifying language proficiency at a proper or higher level at an earlier term than provided in their study schedule.

A foreign student may attend a foreign (excluding English) language course, at A1I (only Romance languages and German) or B1 level and within the 60-h limit.

Polish students studying BSc Biotechnology in English are obliged to complete a foreign (except English) language course (up to 180 h)  in a chosen language and to pass an exam.

For passing the exam certifying language proficiency (no specified level), a student receives 12 ECTS.

Polish citizens, who do not speak Polish may attend Polish language classes under the same rules as foreigners. These circumstances require the permission of the programme coordinator (Dr Justyna Ciuraszkiewicz). Participation in Polish language classes results in that a Polish BSc student is awarded with 12 ECTS points and loses the right to attend other foreign language classes within full 180-hours limit.

Students receive only „pass” or „fail” grade at language courses.
