“The role of Alg13 N-acetylglucosaminyl transferase in the expression of pathogenic features of Candida albicans“.
PhD Monika Niewiadomska,
Department of Biotransformation.

Schematic representation of Alg7p/Alg13p/Alg14p complex formation on the cytosolic face of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane (Lu et al., 2011). Above complex catalyzes the first two initial reactions of Lipid Linked Oligosaccharide, LLO, which is an oligosaccharide donor in protein N-glycosylation. Altered functioning of Alg7p/Alg13p/Alg14p complex due to the up – and down-regulation of ALG13 gene encoding N-acetylglucosaminyl transferase, affects the expression of pathogenic features of Candida albicans.
